The Trader's Ledger (thetradersledger.com) is run by Tris, based in the United Kingdom. For anything about your personal data, email support@thetradersledger.com.
The Ledger app stores your trades and settings locally in your own web browser. We do not receive, collect or store your trading data on our servers. If you clear your browser data or switch device, it isn't recoverable by us, so use Export CSV to keep a backup.
Payments are handled by Stripe and its Managed Payments service, which act as the seller of record and process your card, billing name, email address and country. We never see or store your full card details. We receive your name, email address, country and order details so we can deliver your purchase and provide support. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
If you request a free download, such as the Liquidity Sweep cheat sheet, we collect your first name and email address through a form on this site. They are stored by Netlify, our website host, and by MailerLite, the service we use to send our emails. We use them to send the download link and occasional trading tips and offers, which you agreed to when you signed up. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us to be removed. We keep your details until you unsubscribe.
If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply and help with your request.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites and doesn't identify individual visitors. It gives us totals only, such as page views and which site referred a visit.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. When you arrive from an ad, the link may include tracking parameters that tell us which ad you clicked. We don't currently place advertising cookies on this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
We use purchase details to fulfil our contract with you and to meet legal and tax obligations. We use email correspondence to respond to you. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Order records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires, typically six years. Support emails are kept only as long as they're useful for helping you.
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it's used, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
